Somebody Gouge My Eyes Out

The following is the first National Organization for Marriage (OM NOM NOM NOM sorry) ad that I’ve watched in full:

Okay, it’s not that bad, apart from the blatant bias and the usual talk of ‘imposing’ equality on all of these poor innocent Christians who just want to be prejudiced in peace, dammit. Well, actually, I suppose it is that bad, given the truly spectacular example of quote mining right in the middle.

However, I am becoming curious about the constant assertion that a Supreme Court decision to allow gay marriage is either an imposition or is outright illegal. Do groups like NOM (OM NOM NOM NOM) ever consider a ruling in opposition to their views to be a fair defeat, or does it automatically become illegal or unethical as soon as it doesn’t go in their favour?
